It seems there isnt too much interest here for this national football final as not many have commented on it.
What will it tell us on sunday evening,or will it tell us anything at all about future summer potential. Will mayo go out and blow donegal away and issue a statement of intent,or will donegal play a controlled physical game and prevail.
it will be interesting to see how donegal handle their first national final in 11 years and to see how mayo handle the croker ghosts from past defeats.
Its hard enough to call this one,its difficult to be definitive with a prediction, its full of ifs and buts to be honest, will one emerge as a genuine contender by sunday evening.
Donegal have secured home venue for their first round championship v armagh, you would have to feel the initative has swung their way in that one, their build up to that game might just start on sunday in croker.

the green v omagh is on before this game at 2.15,i might drop in,an intertaining sunday in prospect. The greens full back joe scully misses out on a red card, thats cruel, does any body else feel for occassions like this particularily at underage level that red cards should recinded, unless of course it was received for a blantant act of thuggery, remember the tipp minor a few years back who played in the all-ireland final after winning a high court injuntion. Its hard to beat a bit of common sence, particularily with young players.

Well, it will certainly be a special day on Sunday. In February we had the first game of rugby. In March we had the first game of soccer. Next Sundays Allianz Football League final will see basketball being played for the first time on the hallowed turf.
I wonder if Paddy Power is offering bets on how many times the ball will a) be kicked, b) hit the ground and c) not be handpassed!!

And John 'OMahoney has the nerve to wonder why there won't be a big crowd there.............
Having said that Donegal are playing a more direct game now and release the ball after about 12 passes!

Donegals consistency vs. Mayos potential to be brilliant. If it was an All Ireland final, I'd say Donegal, but I think at this time of year, its hard to bet against Mayo.
Besides, its great when Mayo get all hyped up and then crash bang wallop hit the floor.
Of the northern teams, I've a lot of time for Donegal and would like to see them win it.

I think its going to be close. Hard to call. Think Donegal will have the hunger but it will be down to the wire.

I will stay on to watch the senior match but I wouldnt go if that wasnt on.
Apparently Jo Scullys red card was very harsh.........
Rules are rules I suppose Kerrygold but the punsihment is out of proportion to the crime here

common sence is a virtue also,if the red card was harsh then he is not playing because either the ref made a mistake or because of a referees opionion,we all know about the various interpertations on offer from refs.

donegals midfielder is cleared to play, pity about the young greens full back,he will never get the change again to represent the dreams of his peers at secondary school level on all-ireland final day in croker and also to represent the dreams of past pupils like stacks in far flung corners of the world.

Donegal to win. Finals are Finals and Mayo are Mayo. The leopard never looses his spots!!!! They wont be able to cope with the scoring power of Donegal and Blonde and CO are very limited. Chokers to be honest. Of course the Donegal colours could also trigger a reaction /post traumatic reaction at that.
