Hoping for a good performance from the halfback line - what's Bohan like Stacks?. Scanlon is better option than Quirke. Not sure if Eamonn is better in the half back line - it's so long since he played in that position at inter county . Anyone remember when?
Limerick to beat Donegal. Mayo/Dublin a draw
Anyone known the subs , is Declan back?

Interesting changes before game. Good to see Tommy Griffin tried out at centre back. Not so sure about Bryan Sheehan at midfield though. Come on the Kingdom!

10 mins gone - Tommy Griffin involved a lot but not in a good way. Quill looks lively enough. But trying too hard to channel ball to Scanlon when we attack and he is being beaten!!.

Quill doing well but Reidy been given a rough time by Gormley and Griffin exposed at half back. Daragh also doing very well but little support. Woud still be confident when changes made that we will do the business.
I'll shut up now.

2nd Half Galvin on for Walsh - good, Scanlon to midfield - good, Sheehan and Fitz - Centre forward and full forward respectively - good. Now lets see what we do. Major improvement needed to win.

A draw, probably a fair enough result although Kerry had more opportunities to win the game. Intense game - no holding back, made it scrappy. Give Tyrone credit , I thought that they were very disciplined and tactically good.
My player comments :-
D Murphy 8 - great first half save, unlucky to give away 45. M O Se 9 - Outstanding T O'Sullivan 6 - Tried hard P Reidy 6 - Had tough 1st half but came back into it in 2nd half T O Se 7 - Good 1st half with some storming runs, quieter in 2nd half A O'Mahony 6.5 - Got better in 2nd half D Bohan 6 - Tried hard and deserves another chance D O Se 9 - Outstanding throughout , my man of the match T Griffin 4 - Nothing went right for him, caught on the back foot too often B Sheehan 5 - Not a midfielder, Super free-taking except unusually poor effort late on E Fitzmaurice 4 - Just didn' get into it, should have been replaced earlier in my view D Walsh 4 - Poor today and has a long way to go to make Championship team D Quill 8 - Kerry's best forward. One of his best outings and should have won the game late on S Scanlon 7.5 - Struggled at full forward but gave Daragh great support when he came out midfield. Would like to see more of him in this position MF Russell 6.5 - Worked tirelessly chasing back and lived off scraps Subs Galvin 6 - Still needs match practice but wouldn't be bullied and raised those around him Sean Sull - Added some tenacity Paul - Did well enough and laid on what should have been match winining score for Quill Mossy - not much to do

Dara had an absolute stormer in the first half, faded a bit in the second half where i thought Scanlon really came into it. Bad misses from Sheehan and especially Quill at the end. There was no direction in the forwards at all, too much aimless running and not enough direct running at the backs. Note about the ref..... I was not too impressed with him, he stopped play far too often for petty stuff and because of that there was plenty of belting going on around the field, needless stuff but if he left the game flow there wouldnt be so much idle time for lads to be needling each other.

Padraig Reidy will be fine given a bit of experience. Bohan looks more like a back thna forward. Scan is not a full forward. Brian Sheehan looks lazy and I can see another "captain being dropped" fiasco looming. I hate his casual, lazy, "behind his man" style.
Ref was cat but both teams went out with a vengeful attitude. Kerry were marginally worse than Tyrone in this department
Quirke should pack it now......... he should have got a run.
Again the 3 O'Sheas carried us. What a clan.
Galvin got away with a horrible punch to the kidneys....... no need for it. Tom Sull lucky too.
declan, galvin and donaghy will walk back on the team.

Tadhgeen's ratings are spot on.I thought that T O Sullivan played well on a very fast forward Mc Cullagh (7). Brian Eamon and Donnacha a bit off the intensity at the minute. Quill did well and showed hunger and determination and a bit of vision.Darragh superb 20 out of 10. We need the Crokes boys back and hopefully today will see them back in top form Club All Irl medals in pocket.Much work to be done there after.
