well lads tyrone under lights in tralee in 6 days times, its a must win game now to retain div.1 status.
i'd say donegal are out the gap now, they are playing limerick next.10 points will hardly be enough to see us through to the semis this year.
another dull display from tyrone again this weekend v limerick,is it true brian mcguigan has had a second operation on his leg.

Would have thought you dont need to catch Donegal to be in the semis KG, just be ahead of Tyrone, Mayo & ourselves. Or are you assuming that Mayo will win their last two games (or get at least 3 points?) Tyrone also must win, and still have a shot at the play-offs. Should be a cracker!

scoring difference will proberly play apart rashers,if we beat tyrone and dublin mayo will still have to lose one or maybe two games, its hard to call,i dont think kerry will have the fitness to win this years league.
dublin and kerry wiil be huge game if we both win at the weekend,a croker double bill with the dublin hurlers underlights woul be a great night out, hopefully it happens.

Certainly would, but currently, after recent history, Croker would be to Kerry's advantage, so I hope that doesnt come to pass. If Kerry not really fit by now, then theyre not taking the League seriously so they wont get through, simple as that.

kerry were late back training with the change of manager, team holidays and allstars trip.
its still five months till potential all-ireland quarters and semis with very little happening in between for kerry once the league is over.
i cant believe a dublin team would not like to play kerry in croker with 82000 people there, thats a bit like saying man u would rather play liverpool at their training complex.

Theyd like it of course, but currently they would like much more to be in the League Semis, and just to have beaten Kerry (if Kerry are fit by then), and Parnell Park suits that better. That's the priority, as they know only too well that just beating Kerry in Croker would be a hollow short term gain, at the expense of alot of hype & distraction. That's how I see it. Far too much energy & attention on Dublin footballers as some kind of "big match" entertainment thing, as against them being able to do the right things to be successful. Anyone who doesnt see how unnesscesary hype & distraction affect a team doesnt understand one of the key psychological factors of sport Kerry, despite all their success, are able to prepare and play most games in relative (national) peace, it's a big advantage

Kerry will struggle now as Mayo are in the driving seat and look very fit and hungry. One thing that strikes me is that Mayo were flying this time of the year last year as well. Jack O'Connor made the point after the AI that he thought they were too fit too early. Are Mayo and Donegal peaking too early while the big guns of Kerry, Armagh and Tyrone wait in the long grass gradually building fitness to peak in August?
Donegal looked 20-30% fitter than Kerry yesterday.

i can see what your saying and i agree theres too much hype following dublin,i dont think dublin should fear playing kerry in croke park though, dublin in a full croker should be like a full anfield, old trafford for them playing off the energy of the crowd, thats asumming their winning though i suppose.I can see why it might turn into a negitive situation for them.

Donegal looked 20-30% fitter than Kerry yesterday. But Kerry won the League last year, so being fit didnt worry them, unless you think they werent fit? Or did they drop fitness for Munster, then pick it up again? KG, I think it depends on the game, the context, the circumstances. Currently, it being possibly just a normal league game with Kerry not at their best, then it's not an occasion which would be like what you describe If it was a League Semi or Final with both sides pretty much equal in terms of fitness and hunger to win, then Id agree that Croker (or Thurles or Killarney!) would be the place for it

If anybody could confirm that Brian McGuigan story I'd appreciate it. Poor lad must be going through hell if that's the case.
Who have we back next weekend and who is missing?
And with Pat now involved in the Crokes replay this week, how will he be able to properly focus on two matches in less than 24 hours!!

I wonder who Kerry will play at full forward next Saturday night? Personally, I'd like Quirk to get another chance at full forward. Any opinions?

Rashers............ Dublin bring a lot of the pressure on themselves. All this slow marching towards the hill bullshit.......... thats only putting pressure on young lads.
If they are serious footballers..... they should be jumping at the chace of playing kerry in croker.............
I know what you mean regarding getting better results in parnell park but............they will have to starting winning big games against big teams in croker
