Andrew kenneally has sustained crucicate knee ligament damage picked up in the u21 game v clare and is out of the club final.
I was very surprised at the time pat allowed his two players to play for the u21 with such big club ocassion only seven days away.Really a once in a life time chance.
You would wonder why the co.board didnt attempt to refix the u21 game seeing the two lads involvement and the duagh player aswell.
Did they really care, seeing in hind sight how the u21 performed or under performed, the whole approach to the u21 team seem haphazard at best, kind of get it out of the way.
tyrone beat us in a minor final in '04,its reported their u21s are flying and are expecting to win it,thats a level we should be at too.It just makes you think!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Spot-on Kerrygold. but everything to do with the U21s in Kerry for the past few years has been focussed on the 'get it out of the way' approach. Anyway, best of luck to Andrew Kenneally on his recovery and to Crokes for Saturday.

the best of luck to pat, colm, eoin and the crokes lads on saturday, the head says cross but the heart is screaming gooch to do something magical in the last 5 minutes and win the all-ireland for the crokes after a brosnan run through the middle.
the best of luck lads from south kerry, give it an almighty blast and see whats happens, cross are beatable, dont put them on a pedistal.

I think crokes shot passing game will count against them in the wide open spaces of croker. They will definitely need to move the ball quicker if they are to win. The only problem is that they need a target man to do this in croker. Boo Boo will be out round his half back line so that rules him out. Brosnan is the ideal option but the will miss his presence out around the middle. Plus cross have a whle sprinkling of intercounty talent around the field. Crokes to win ONLY IF they play long first time ball. I think Kieran O leary will be the key to this. If gooch is double teamed it is up to o leary to bring it home

just got my tickets for tomorrow. The young fella is really looking forward to seeing the game and Gooch here in Dublin again. Hope they do themselves proud. I just fear XMG are a bit too experienced at this level

A draw was a good result. Cooper player outstanding. When to replay???

Replay is on the 1st April in portlaoise.......... Croke PARK will have the soccer posts up.
I found it so frustrating watching Crokes in the last 10 minutes......... they were caught in possession ............ a bit of cuteness needed......... and they would have held on. Sometimes kicking the ball wide is better than playing it around and being dispossessed.
So similar to the irish rugby team....... its about winning first and foremost.
Gooch was some playmaker when he moved out.
Feck it anyway............ hope their chance isnt gone now

First half was terrible. Second half more entertaining. Short passing game very annoying. Crokes unlucky not to win in the end.
Hope Brosnans ankle isnt too bad. Saw them carry him across the field at the end. Crokes lads now out for Kerry games V Donagal and Tyrone presumably

I thought Crokes should have won the last day. They dominated possession in the second half but didn't put enough on the scoreboard. Gooch turned playmaker outfield but the problem was that they needed someone like him inside to pick off the points. Having said all of that they responded magnificently to Cross's goal.
Another close call the next day - any news on the injuries? These may prove decisive.

Crokes should have won it all right, they missed a bag of scores just before half time.Considering mcmahon and brosnan got injured so early on and the gooch didnt score from play theres plenty of positives to bring into the replay.Crokes out played cross i thought,i wonder can cross be that poor again,if they are what does it say about the armagh team.

i've always felt that the gooch should be brought out to the forty on ocassion for kerry when things are going against the team, tyrone in'05 being the perfect example.
with donaghy inside now this option becomes more possible in the future.
