Again, I'll go back to my previous question about the amount of injuries we have this year compared to the past three!!

MCGarrity has testicular cancer so all the best to him.
Seems Joe Deane is also making a good recovery.

With so many injuries and other absences will the Limerick game be like a junior match: they might ask some of the fellows walking through the gate if they brought their boots with them?

still it would make victory v limerick all the more significant, with the game at home kerry might still come through. Two points on sunday would leave them needing 2 wins from three games to qualify.A full kerry team v donegal, tyrone and dublin would be interesting.

Dermot Early junior had the same complaint as the two lads but has make a full recovery TG.
It puts life and sport into perspective at the end of day doesnt it.

True best of luck to Ronan McGarrity it does put football in perspective. Thankfully Joe Deane and Dermot Early Junior are well enough to return playing. As some one was saying it may have helped all three that by being county players their health would have been screened a lot more than if they weren't playing.....

I hope injuries to players wont form the basis of a whispering campain, if we run into a crisis period like last year if the sh1te hits the fan later on,to discredit John and Pat.
Darrens broken hand hardly relates to adverse training methods, sheehans knee could be due to over exposure, how much time has this man had off in the last three years between three all ireland-senior finals, the three south kerry co. victories in a row,3 u21's co.s in a row.Maybe people not being at the mayo match dont relise the severity of the bang tomas took too his hip which might have had a knock on effect to his hammer. Give it a break, players are human not machines.

I'm not saying that Kerrygold, but Pat Flanagan is one of Irelands leading prehap experts. He is a hard act to follow and I believe it will take a while before we have a knock free squad, which we largely had in 2005 / 2006.

i'm not sure we were fully up to speed in'05 stacks, but i take your point on board all the same.
john is a fully qualified physio so i would have every faith in him to do a good job, they thought the world of him down in south kerry. No mean achievement to keep a district team on the boil for three consecutive seasons.
Any way as far as i know there is contact and imput from pat in relation to carrying over the training, that shouldnt be too hard to organise.
just for pig iron, pat is head of sports science in the college in tralee now, which is one of the reasons he could not continue with the kerry team. They are qualifing PE teachers now to degree level, the only other college outside of Thomand in limerick doing so in ireland. I agree pat is very talented and did a massive job with kerry.

I see the game is switched to Killarney...Why...was it not originally to be on Saturday night in Tralee. I had it all arranged. Travel from Dublin after the young fellas football on Saturday, come home early Sunday in time for a bit of work...now my plans have been fecked up.

Scanlon full forward? Hard to see it. Will KErry play a 3 man midfield with 2 in the full forward line? Quirke must be dissapointed.
Would like to see Hussey do well as good a scoring forward as there has been in the county championship over the last 2 or 3 years
