Strange move with Bohane. I really am disappointed that Fitzy isn t getting a run at C.H.B . I dunno I think there is a place for that man in our half back line,he never let us down there before. I think that this game is an excellent chance for KOL to show his wares. Scanlon again at full forward surely not in that position. Funny if Declan was fit I would have fancied Bros at Full, perhaps an early switch might be on. Bros proved very effective there in the 2005 final ,I always thought that they should have persevered with him a while longer that day. I accept that C.F is his optimum position intercounty. Only right that Colm is rested and really we should be able to cope without him in this one. Again its in the melting pot for Declan Quill, he must and can deliver. If he does not I would be fearfull that he might see the championship out on the bench. He need to come out in front show for the ball and take off the blinkers. Perhaps more than anything he needs to just relax and be confident in his own abilities. I wish him well. Brian needs to up the workrate and pace big time for this one, frees simply are not enough. He needs to get on the board from play and God Knows he can but someone needs to light a fire under his rear end first I think. As I see it we must win, counting on Mayo for anything is a fools game.

What are you selling rashers. I hope you are not a skelper. mind you, if you have a spare ticket.....I dont have one yet. Do you like the new look Kavanaghs, Its a bit small. The Gentleman & Entrepreneur Tierney will have nothing to do with the finances & economics of the Grand old Association! Indeed, I miss the old, friendly open room, and the carpet. Feckin progress!

I'm half expecting a different line up just before the game, same as the tyrone game.

Won by a couple. L istened to it on the radio. Reidy and the gooch seemed to do well. Dara Se dropped out with a broken finger and Scanlon and Quirke did well midfield. Would appreciate a report from someone at the game. Don't trust Weeshie and the boys. They reported that the dubs second goal was a cracker from 20yards but when i saw it on the telly it was from the edge of the small square!

C'mon Padraig Harrington! (And if anyone on here says he's a Corkman - I swear I'll swing for them!) Oh yeah, and well done Kerry

I was in Parnell Park. They were taking cask at the turnstiles. There were empty seats in the stand. That surprised me.
It was a grand game played in a very good spirit. The only ugly tackle was a nasty elbow by Galvin. Kerry played with great heart and determination. Over the 70 minutes thay probably had 60% of the play. The finishing was poor............... at least 2-8 went abegging.
The major plus from this game is that Padraig Reidy is here to stay. He looked totally at ease and is class....... great anticipation and first to the ball. Bohane will make it too in my opinion. He did enough to show that.
Gooch was simply unplayable. His foot passing was perfectiion and was responsible for about 1-6.
Quike played midfield and caught a lot of ball. Not much of a jumper. He seems to wand to offload it straight away. I admired quirke today. Dublin scored 1-1 to draw the game with 5 minutes left. It was set up for dublin. Quirke caught the crucial kickout and swung the initiative.
Scanlan roamed everywhere and is a great linkman. Sheehan tried hard and his workrate was very good. He missed about 4 scorable frees though....... He wouldnt put your house on him as a freetaker.
All the usuals played well....Tomas, Marc, Aidan, Tom Sull. Galvin played well in the second half.
O'Leary is smallish and I dont think we can have him, Quill and MRF on at the one time. Darren tried hard but he just puts the head down and goes for goal. He is going to end up like Mickey Ned is he keeps it up.
Dublin dont look to be better than last year. The main attacking option they have is to release a player on the burst thru the middle. They need a big number 14. Jayo was their best forward.
With Dara, Donaghy, Declan to come back....... we will take beating.......
Brosnan tried hard but his shooting let him down.
The main things as I say are that........REIDY HAS ARRIVED and BOHANE IS ON HIS WAY!
Mickmack
At the end the players warmed down and then a load of Dublin kids and whatever Kerry kids were there surrounded Gooch for his autograph. He is a superstar.......

good win today and a very good all round display by all accounts. the radio kerry lads gave man of the match to reidy which is good news seen as he was poorish against tyrone and will help boost his confidence. quill once again did well as did gooch, the 2 lads at midfield quirke and scanlon. great day and sets us up nicely for the championship. however, heard a vicious rumour(and that is all it is so far and prob not true!) that a certain star member of the panel is on the verge of quitting. did anybody else hear this? i am not mentoning any names.

I agree mickmack. reidy and Bohan will be there. Think it will be sean sullivan and Darren and Donnach will be the wing subs. Galvin back thank god... Dont care about the odd elbow or whatever he is a work horse and it a vital part of the team. Leary I alos agree is a bit light and will not make it this year but we will in the near future. Congrats to the lads. It dow to Business now and getting all back and injury free for the Championship.

Dont mean to be ungracious, but from what I saw and heard of it, Dublin were very poor, so I dont think you can make judgements about your new players so easily. Only a real test against top opposition playing well can show it. I would expect Kerry to go all out for Munster this year, but then again, these days you never know, but if they do, you might learn something against Cork, who I expect to be strong again

I agree Mickmack Reidy has arrived Bohane not far behind and Killian Young is waiting on the wings too. I was confined to Radio Kerry and so really cannot comment with authority but I think that Quirke Scanlon and Quill made a ceratain statement to day. 1 Competition for places is intense 2 Replacements of quality and ability exist 3 The training environment must be excellent arising from this. Ill put it this way, considering the opposition, are we at any disadvantage not qualifying? What would playing Galway Mayo or Kildare do for us in competition tems. Very little I think. Final observation Tom O Sullivan emerged to day as a leader in Defence according to a friend who attended. If that is correct I think that it an excellent and post the Mike Mac era necessary development. Can you comment mickmack. By the way a great show from the Crokes lads who could be forgiven this week for going on a serious bender. We know now what their priorities are if we ever doubted. Now the real work begins
