Ah now there is a topic that is close to my heart. THEY ARE GREAT. What would you like to know just ask...... Training hard. 4 in a row to compete for this year at Senior. Jr looking to win there first championship since 2001. Looking good.Lots of hard work. Back against the walls here as every team want to beat us. So we just keep the heads down and get to the business at hand. The following are some of the lads we have. Most of the names you will know. Damo Breen, Shane Clifford. Colm Cronin Niall Corbett, Shane Langan. Billy Curtin Shane Coffee Eoin Moriarty Mike Mckenna Tommy and Timmy Quaid, Ross Donavan, kieran O Shea, Willie O Donnell Paudie Mulivhill Paudie Hanley, Jason Wren, Sean Kelly Patrick McGuire Dave McSwneey,Conor Ryan Fergal Curtin, Paddy O Connor,Anthony Glacken Derek Riney some Sr and some Jr. Of course as you all know Dan Donna left us and is now playing for leitrim? Now if you are wondering who is traveling on summer sanctions oh well you are just going to have to wait and see. Cause not if my life depended am I going to release that info. But you should all be supporting the lads here. They are great ambassadors for the game and the county. They were their Jersey with pride. And those who help us keep the club alive are the best bunch of people you could have the pleasure of knowing.

Like I said lads. Not leaving my lips, until they arrive in NY. You never know who be reading this fourm..... Cant give away the secrets. But on a serious note I hope you all check in from time to time on us here as they truely are the best bunch of lads and they are so proud to wear the Jersey. And could not be more proud of them. They are great ambassadors to the county abroad.

Shane is fine. He did not get an injury worth noting really. Just made contact with a stud of a lads boot at trainin. on his instep. He grand. Big boy can take his knocks well.

What's happening with this synthetic pitch? Do you think it will affect the Sligo lads?

Think it will effect the New York lads more. Long story.... Its a blend of synthetic and natural that can grow through it. There is a bounce on it and from my walk about on it yesterday it will have a huge effect on the bounce of the ball. The work took longer than expected and it now in the final stages of finishing. A huge push by us here to get it done. The sligo and New York teams will be getting a run on it a day or two before. Now as you all know we do not have another playing field and we are at the mercy of St Barnabas for the use of Paddys field and Rockland is only an option on the weekends. So our lads have been training in the GYM all winter and in Van Cortland PK. Now anyone who ever played here will tell you the VCP is just not suitable. Sligo are in town and are training in Rockland for the days leading up to the game. Gaelic Park will be lovely and worth a visit. It should be a help to our attendance also over the course of the year. As an officer I will not comment on who will win. I wish the New York team the very best Sunday and a huge NY welcome to our friends from Sligo.

I know there is a cousin of mine heading over this summer Joan, I won't give away the name as you seem to want to keep it under wraps, former Kerry minor, was on the U-21 panel this year for a while! Great player! Killarney man, can I say that?? Will definitely try to make it across from the West Coast for a visit!!
