Interesting draw. Would like to see it go back to the old format where you can draw either club or divisional teams. Some of the teams are sick to death of playing each other like west kerry v kenmare and kierans v brendans.
Ardfert will be happy with their draw at home to legion and dingle got the draw nobody wanted away to crokes.
Hard to look beyond south kerry and crokes again with KOR a distant 3rd.

Brendans will be severely weakened by absence of Ardfert players which is a pity because they probably would have had a decent enough team with a fair chance of progressing to the business end. They are the u-21 champions.

There are a good few teams that are simply not good enough for county championship. The divisional structure puts a lot of pressure on its players who serve 2 masters(3 for county players) in keeping club and division happy. It results in a lack of preparation which makes the county championship poor fare. It does however mean that players from smaller clubs get exposure and the chance to play at a higher level which brings more players through to county teams and is better for the county.
I feel that when Kerry clubs come to the All Ireland Club they have not played enough high quality, high intensity games and this explains our lack of success at this level. A lot of other county championship are better in terms of quality and intensity than ours.
Mitchels, Legion, Kenmare, Shannon Rangers, Brendans would not be left in most championships up the country.

i dont know, still 3 kerry clubs got to all-ireland finals this spring and all three could have won,i feel kerry club football is a lot better than some of the stuff up in here in the leinster counties, dublin apart.
hard to know really.
