Once again Ardferts ability to get goals gets them through, ive never come across a team like them for finding the net.....

Thats what helped them to two All Irelands, their constant ability to score goals, i watched them play Waterville in the intermediate last year and they got goals out of nothing when others would settle for the point.

Kenmare down 5-3 at half time despite playing with stiff breeze, kinda stole it in da end, west kerry went down to 14. Not bad for a team that hasn't really got together yet.

Seamus........... what did you make of the Lerrig sports ground............ a huge voluntary effort put in over last 15 years It was my first time there Mickmack and it was absolutely superb. It must be in the top 5 set ups in the county.

It must be in the top 5 set ups in the county. The Kilmoyney club are very proud of their efforts....... the land was bought about 12 years ago when land was cheap by todays standards. There is no football in Kilmoyley........ exclusively hurling........ they like nothing better than beating Ardfert........ such is the way with the GAA all over the country.

shannon rgs were brutal to say the least. they didnt av one forward capable of kicking a point.. missing a few key players alright but with the squad they had there on the day they could have surely put up a better fight!!

SENIOR FOOTBALL C'SHIP ROUND 2 THIS WEEKEND
After the Round 1 games of the AIB County Senior Football Championship last weekend Ardfert, An Ghaeltacht, Kerins O'Rahilly's, Laune Rangers, Austin Stacks and Dr. Crokes are through to the third round from the Club Section and St. Brendan's, Mid Kerry, Kenmare and East Kerry are through from the Divisional/Group Teams Section. South Kerry, have a bye into third round.
The ten losing teams from last weekend's first round play again this weekend in Round 2 to determine the remaining five teams to go into the third round draw.
On Saturday evening at 7.30 p.m. Feale Rangers play St. Kieran's at Listowel, West Kerry play Shannon Rangers at Annascaul and Rathmore host Kilcummin. On Sunday afternoon at 2.30 p.m. Milltown/Castlemaine are at home to Dingle and at 7.00 p.m. Legion play John Mitchels at Fitzgerald Stadium.
The draw for Round 3 will be held after the game on Sunday afternoon on Radio Kerry between 5.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m.
The three losing teams from the clubs section will have to playoff for retaining their senior championship status. One game will be drawn and the winners of this playoff retain their senior status while the losing team will play the club that got the bye. The winners of the second playoff retain senior status and the losing team will be relegated.

interesting,mike mac and eamonn fitz march on keeping very much to the fore front of the shop window,i'm not throwing the cat amongst the pegions but i often saw micko bring players into the panel after munster finals were won.
