I was at the Dromid/Sneem game. Sneem won 1-7 to 0-4 points. Strong wind and heavy showers ment the game was poor. Ronan Hussey scored 1 - 7 for Sneem. If he is stopped playing many games for them this year then its hard to see where their scores will come from. Dromid were very poor. 3 of last years players have taken a year out to travel, one has retired and they have a few out with long term injuries meaning their team selection was well short. Both teams will have their work cut out for them this year to survive in Div 2. Waterville beat St Mary's 1 - 10 to 1 - 04 Another poor game to be honest, St marys have a very young team and although they came from div1 last year they are another team who'll do well to avoid the drop this year. The game was fixed for Caherciveen but due to an unavailable pitch it was played in Wville giving them a big advantage. As usual in Wville, wind was blowing like crazy Very early in the year to tell too much about teams really

Ta Seamus. Disappointed to see Stacks only get a draw at home to begin with.

Some notable results from this wknd - Div 1: Ardfert beaten by Stacks in Div 1 debut. Div 2: St. Marys suffer 2nd hammering in a row v South Kerry rivals & Beale score 18 pts in big win away v Desmonds. Div 3: South Kerry champions Skellig Rangers suffer 2nd defeat on the trot, newly promoted Na Gaeil & Tuosist enjoy big wins away to Renard & Castlegregory respectively. Div 4: Keel record 2nd big win in a row. Div 5: Fossa & Listry setting the pace. Anyone have any opinions or comments on team performances or prospects for 2007 or match reports from the weekends games?

Waterville were very lucky to beat Currow, they were behind for most of the game untill a Paddy Curran goal 2 mins from the end put them a point up. Currow were most unfortunate not to win and deserved at least a draw.

Some strange results at the weekend. Nearly all the teams that got relegated are struggling to make an impact this year. Ardfert have only 1 point from 2 home games against teams they would have fancied beating. KOR look to be the team to beat again this year.

Going to pay a visit to the Waterville/Dromid game tommorow. Its on at 2.30 in Waterville, should be a cracker, Wville have won 2 from 2 this year while Dromid have lost 3 from 3. However i try to make these derbys off as often as possible as form (and logic) goes out the window when these two play I didnt hear any results from tonights games, does anyone have any updates?

Waterville 1 - 06 Dromid 1 - 08
Good game, good stuff played from both sides, plenty of needle and on another day with another ref there could have been 3 or 4 reds. Dromid played decent stuff but the win was more down to the fact that Waterville couldnt kick a score to save their lives. They also missed a penalty in the first half.
Sneem defeat St Marys comfortably, Marys are very poor this season and already look destined for a struggle to stay up.
I didnt hear too many other results, anyone know how Arfert got on???
