Will be tough. The jet lag will be a factor. They should really leave Wednesday to acclimatise!

Fair play to the Kerry Supporters Club who go to all of these games. They give supporters a chance to get to games like this and make a really enjoyable weekend. I have been on a few of them and the crack is mighty. Well worth joining.

I tried to make a league game in Donegal once.....took the bus from Dublin.....got stuck in snow at the Ballygawley roundabout in Tyrone.....that was the end of that trip!!
I'm thrilled that we're facing into such a tough game without some of our most senior players. We need to find a good second layer in the panel, and this is the opportunity to do so, with Declan O'Sullivan not fully off the plane yet, Paul Galvin after only one league game with Finuge, Colm Cooper and Eoin Brosnan still on club duty etc. We need to face still competition and find out who in our squad is good enough. We've been too reliant on the same faces for quite a while now.

Well theres a few come back: is Sheehan right, Donaghy is back maybe Galvin, Killian Young Maybe Tomas. Reidy will be in the running. Thats on top of the guys who won against Limerick. Its a strong a hand as has been available for a while.

a win in donegal to follow up the win in limerick would be huge,t'would help form an already hardening crust on the back of kerry players.
i dont see why we cant win this one,it would sent out a statement of intent.

I will be a good test alright for the young players. I think we have enough in the tank to see a win against Donegal.

Anyone know when the Kerry team for Sunday is being named?

And here is the answer to my own question: taken from setanta sports
Kerry have made a number of changes from the side that beat Limerick ahead of Sunday's Allianz National Football League Division 1A game in Donegal.
Tomas O Se comes in at number five in place of Brendan Guiney, while at seven, Padraig Reidy comes in for Ronan O Flaharth.
There are changes in attack also. Kieran Donaghy comes in at full forward, with Seamus Scanlon reverting to number 11 and Eamonn Fitzmaurice dropping to the bench.
At ten, captain Bryan Sheehan takes Ronan Hussey's place.
Kerry: D Murphy; M O Se, T O'Sullivan, M Lyons; T O Se, A O'Mahony, P Reidy; D O Se, T Griffin; B Sheehan, S Scanlon, D Walsh; D Quill, K Donaghy, MF Russell.

Not a bad side: still semi experimental in the forwards but fellows are getting their chance. Still a lot of forwards to come in Gooch Brosnan Declan Galvin, pity Hussey didn't get another run. Should Reidy be in the corner and Mossy on the wing?

a fairly strong team alright, theres no reason that team shouldnt be competitive v donegal.
it looks like we will be looking to get two defenders from, mossy, guiney, reidy and young at the end of the day.
we have plenty of options from 8 to 15,the defence is a source of concern for me long term,i'm surprised no one has picked up on it here.
brosnan was deemed surplus to requirments up front last summer,i wonder could he do a tom spillane on it at centre back for kerry and play ball out of that position for kerry. Theres no point in trying to divide 10 or 12 players into 6 positions while quality players sit on the bench.
seamus did an exellent job almost as a sweeper, mopper upper last summer from centre back playing the ball all the time,i feel we could do with something similar this season from centre back.

Brosnan at centreback is a great option Kerrygold. How about this in addition, (People might think I’m crazy but just think about it!). Brosnan at centre back with Aidan O’ Mahoney at full back. Aidan has all the attributes to make an outstanding fullback, strength, height, power, so dynamic and his anticipation is top class. A full back line of Marc O Se, Aidan O Mahoney, Tom O’Sullivan would inspire a lot of confidence and put fear into any trespassers.
