disappointing end to the season for united, what did you think of ronaldo mickmack?,annonymous again when needed,i've never seen him give a world class performance when its needed the most.
fergie needs a few more players,a top class striker and midfield player at the very least,i still dont rate ronaldo,it sickens me to see drogba and murinhno win the fa cup.

i am not a bit fan of ronaldo and i never said i was.
My point earlier in the thread was that john giles was not man enough to acknowledge him when he plays well. Giles had a choice after the match in question........ go by what his eyes told him or stick with his prejudice. He chose the latter. Thats the difference between a good analyst and a great analyst........... giles is not a great analyst........ he cant rise above his prejedice.
as regards the match.......... i cut the grass

With regards to the match, I take it was terrible. I suppose ye should be grateful the football has started up again so ye can watch a real game.

Congrats to padraig harrington on winning the irish open in adare in the first hole play off and thus ended john o learys 25 year redord as the last irish man to win this event.
Padraig said he considers this second only to the majors.

I see Federer beat nadal yesterday on clay in the italian open, this might be significant with Rolan Garris coming upshortly if anyone fancies a flutter on federer to win the grand slam this year in tennis.

maldini will be 39 in 5 weeks time, some player, some athlete.won his 5th campions league medal to night.
ac milan couldnt affort to buy new players at the start of the season, players like cafu are 37,maldini 39, inzagi 38.
we missed one point mickmack when saying that ac milan concentrated on winning the champions league, they were docked points at the start of the year because of the scandal that saw juvi cast out to div 2.was it something like 15 or 20 points?
itsnt fanstastic that chelsea didnt win the champion league, magic.
only for maurices bad knee i'd say he would be still playing more regularily.

Yikes...only realised this forum was here now!! After a 12 month sabatical away from the forums I never thought my first opinion would be on the pool.
Before everyone goes off slating Rafa, I believe his only major mistake was leaving Zenden on...however, think of it this way, if he started Kewell who suddenly pulls a sickie after 10 minutes, then he gets slating for not starting a "reliable" Zenden.
Next point, why does he leave one up front with 3 in midfield (I am counting Gerard as a Midfielder in this instance as he was not playing as an out and out striker). Well if anyone watched United you saw what happened when United did not squeeze (using an election term) Milans midfield and they were ripped to shreds. The pool played alonso masherano and gerrard in a triangle and they dominated milan. Tactical genious in my book.
Were it not for a poxed goal (handball by the way) on the stroke at half time liverpool would have been odds on and everyone would now be licking Rafa holy behind!!
