From Hogan Stand Kingdom call up pair 22 February 2007
Kerry senior football manager Pat O’Shea has drafted Padraig Reidy and Daniel Bohane into his side for the Division 1A NFL clash with Fermanagh.
The Kingdom face the Erne men at Breffni Park on Sunday February 25 hoping to build on their second-round victory over Munster rivals Cork.
Scartaglin clubman Reidy gets his chance at left corner back as Brendan Guiney is sidelined with a chest infection; Bohane of Austin Stacks will don the No.10 shirt, with Donnacha Walsh making way.
In order to accommodate the new boys, there are two positional switches: Killian Young moves to left half back and Eamonn Fitzmaurice is deployed on the 40.
Kerry, 2007 NFL Division 1A V Fermanagh: D Murphy; M O Se, T O’Sullivan, P Reidy; T O Se, A O’Mahony, K Young; D O Se, T Griffin; D Bohane, E Fitzmaurice, B Sheehan; D Quill, K Donaghy, MF Russell. Subs: Kieran Cremin, Donnacha Walsh, Micheal Quirke, Seamus Scanlon, Ronan Hussey, Mossie Lyons, Paul O’Connor and Ronan Ó Flatharta.

It'll be interesting to see how Ardfert do in div 1 of the county league and in the county championship this year. It's a huge step up to county level from county championship level as players like Brian Sheehan have found , going from Intermediate is an even bigger leap.

I'd like to see Ronan Ó Flatharta get a run out. I hear he is playing very well at the moment. Its good to see Pat experimenting a little. I think we should win this one handy enough. Fermanagh & Cork to be relegated!

Its very important to find 2/3 players eevry year. its gives hope to younger players.
Thats what happened with the kerry team of the 80s. They all grew old together as did the Dublin team of the 70s.

good to see padraig reidy get his chance. I think he a sounder defender than either young or guiney and has a great eye for a pass. I think finding two good corner backs is essential this year as we are already losing tom sullivan to cover the full back poition unless mike mac comes back but also if me need to makr changes in a game to bring in a sub etc we need someone just as good in reserve. Interesting to note however that the management seem very reluctant to try and blood some midfield talent or even convert one of the more established players to a midfielder if needs be. In a championship match they would be loathe to move donaghy out around the middle after his performances in full forward for the kingdom

Good to see Bohane get a run.....just shows how far I am from the craic that I didn't even know he was in the panel!!
As to your comment Seamus - I think it was far meatier stuff than some fella showing well in league training!!

Id like to see Ronan Hussey get a game, Apparently POS stopped him and Brian Sheehan going on a Sth Kerry team holiday last weekend so for missing that alone he should be rewarded.

Yeah would love to see Ronan Hussey get a run.
IS there anyone else knocking about training that mightn't be on the panel for the next day that is likely to get a run in the upcoming league games?
Like Stacks, I am a fair bit away from the craic and rely on this forum for any news on players coming through and since this forum has been down for a while, I am a bit out of the loop!
