Next up for kerry is fermanagh in breffini park cavan town.Brewster park is unavailable due to resurfacing.
Have ye any ideas for a team judging from the last two games. I wonder will brosnan and the gooch be risked if crokes get to the final.
What are the chances of eamonn fitxmaurice getting a game in his old position, remembering the job he did on mcdonald '04,or has he slipped down the pecking order.
should mike quirke get another game fullforward?

I would expect a few changes and another couple of players to get their chance to stake a claim. Cremin will have to get a game in goals soon irrespective of how the crokes go next week. I would also like to see Ftizmaurice at 6, Quirke at midfield (just to see how he goes), and maybe have a look at Reidy and bring back Sean Sullivan. We should take Fermanagh.

Even with an experimental side, Kerry should have too much class for Fermanagh. I doubt the Crokes lads will be let play though?

i heard a statistic last night in conversation with a man from tralee that eamonn fitzmaurice handled the ball the most times v cork last saturday night and dara o se was second.
it would be nice too see eamonn being rewarded for his loyalty to the kerry team over the last two seasons with 4 or 5 games at centre back to see if he could reclaim his place.
thats some hunger and eagerness from dara entering his 14th year on the kerry senior team,a class act in fairness.

Would love to see Fitzmaurice getting a few runs at center back also during the league. When it comes to the business end of the Championship its guys like him that you know you can call upon. Great dedication by the man I must say when others would have just packed things in - deserves lot of respect!

I can't imagine the game without the "Dara shrug off", its part of the game and has been there long before Dara came on the scene! What is a guy to do if someone is pullying at him, is he supposed to DIVE to the ground looking for a free??? I think ref's are getting a bit carried away! If we are not carefully the game will turn into soccer!!!

It would break my heart to see the GAA turning more like soccer...the physical element is a key part of the game and is one of the main reasons that it is so enjoyable.

Re Dara's "hand off/shrug off" part of the problem is the lack of a proper tackle in the game. If he doesn't do that whats he going to do let himself be swallowed up?

I would love to see an experimental game of gaellic football with the rugby tackle allowed ..... a tackle that is very fair. That would give the backs a chance and cut out over playng the ball

There is going to be such an overlap with the U21s this year and the league. The U21 final is not due to be played untill the 10th of April or something it will be hard for U21s players to make it. Still Fermanagh must be as good a game as any to give them a go.
