its truely amazing that they have only won two all-irelands in 30 years,'95 stretched them to their limits. Ah KG, good old stats eh, great arent they? Here's some more for you: Dublin have won 4 All-Irelands in the last 32 years, and 5 in 34 years. Kerry have won 4 Sams in the last 21 years. Meath have won 4 in the last 20 years.

I took this from the Gaelic Life, for those of you who haven't read it.
JOE BROLLY
Donegal: Playing thoroughly modern football, they are hateful to play against and ready for the big time. Trouble is, they must beat Armagh, which they should but might not, and Tyrone, which they probably won’t. Tyrone: Four questions: Is Cavlan going to be picked? Is Kavanagh fit? Will McGuigan play? Do they still have the ambition? If the answers are yes, then they will win Ulster and the All-Ireland might well be a two horse race. Armagh: Their screen defence means goals are scarce as hen’s teeth. Conceded two (one a fluke against Derry) in the entire league, so their foundations are solid. Problem is, with-out Clarke to partner McDonnell, their attack plan is stymied, the new players aren’t cutting it, and Joe has been forced to go back to his ageing stars. Could win Ulster, but not Sam. Derry: Should reach the Ulster final, but will then be depending on outstanding individual displays to catch out whichever of the big three comes through. An Ulster title is not im¬possible but unlikely.
ULSTER: TYRONE ALL-IRELAND: TYRONE
RONAN McSHERRY
I find it hard to understand why year after year people keep writing off Armagh. They are a good bet for Ulster at 11/2 which will slash dramatically if they beat Donegal. I expect they will, and go onto win the Anglo Celt cup yet again. In the All Ireland series Tyrone may get a run going but have suffered terrible injury setbacks since last year. Donegal may also get close through the back door but I think the All Ireland title will go back to the Kingdom. Donaghy will once again prove to be unmarkable and has freed up Gooch and the other Kerry forwards no end. In other words, as you were.
ULSTER: ARMAGH ALL-IRELAND: KERRY
JARLATH BURNS
On one side of the draw Fermanagh could be first to exit but should get a good run in the qualifiers. Then it becomes difficult to pick one out of the next three. Anything could happen here but, I above anyone would be forgiven for tipping Armagh, simply on their recent record in Ulster where they have been unbeatable. On the other half of the draw, anyone with sense would pick Derry, but I’ll go for Down as a second and outside bet to reach the final. After Ulster it becomes even more difficult, because no team has really stood out so far, but I have a funny feeling it’s Ulster’s turn again this year. Tyrone perhaps, or Donegal through the back door.
ULSTER: TYRONE ALL-IRELAND: DONEGAL
STEPHEN McKIERNAN
Armagh as underdogs? No chance! It’s pressure Donegal don’t need. Mickey and Joe must be delighted. Armagh and Tyrone still have extra gears that Donegal don’t possess. Tyrone will win Ulster at the semi-final stage against Armagh and then take revenge on Derry in a one-sided Final. Tyrone and Kerry still have the most talented footballers in the country I expect Joe McMahon to solve Tyrone’s full-back conundrum this year and if McGuigan is kept wrapped in cotton wool, they still possess the psychological edge over the Kingdom. I fancy the Red Hands to be clapping this September.
ULSTER: TYRONE ALL-IRELAND: TYRONE
PAUL WELSH
The Ulster Championship winners will be one of Donegal, Tyrone or Armagh. On early season form you daren’t look past Donegal but can they carry their league success into the heat of Ulster Championship battle against Armagh? Despite a poor league campaign you write off Armagh at your peril. Experience counts for an awful lot in the championship and no better man than Joe Kernan to burst the Donegal bubble. Tyrone will beat Fermanagh but that could be their lot in Ulster after they face Armagh or Donegal. I fancy Cavan or Monaghan to be in the final from the other half of the draw, but not to win it.
ULSTER: ARMAGH ALL-IRELAND: KERRY
ALAN RODGERS
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that three teams hold the key to this year’s Ulster Championship. The winners will come out of the match between Donegal and Armagh and the semi-final between either of them and Tyrone. Donegal will beat Armagh, but they will then lose out to a rejuvenated Tyrone complete with Brian McGuigan. They’ll beat Cavan in the decider and Tyrone, Donegal and Armagh will be the in the Quarter Finals. Tyrone will defeat Mayo in the All-Ireland semi-final to set up a repeat of 2005 against Kerry in the final.
ULSTER: TYRONE ALL-IRELAND: KERRY
CHRIS McCANN
The league Champions of the last four years have won either the All-Ireland or their provincial crown and featured in the All-Ireland final. By that measure Donegal have to be favourites for the Anglo Celt. That would mean an early exit for Armagh which may suit the Orchard men who can rebuild in the qualifiers and have Ronan Clarke back by the middle of July. Derry should have the ability to keep their campaign simmering as they await the return of Paddy Bradley and Kevin McGuckin, likewise Tyrone and Brian McGuigan. Tyrone and Derry to reach the All-Ireland quarter-finals, Armagh the semi-finals and Ulster Champions Donegal to lose the All-Ireland final to Kerry.
ULSTER: DONEGAL ALL-IRELAND: KERRY
SLEDGER
The Ulster Championship isn’t the two-horse race we’ve become used to. Donegal should beat Armagh, but Tyrone (who will beat Fermanagh) may well end their provincial run. Cavan have to be favourites against a rebuilding Down, but they could fall to Monaghan in the next round. Derry can make it to the final but a revenge-inspired Tyrone should beat them to win Ulster. Armagh and Donegal will at least reach the last eight through the back door, and Donegal are a good each way bet for the Sam Maguire. But in a year when no team looks to be significantly better than any other, either Tyrone, Donegal, Kerry or Dublin (if they can build momentum) will win the All-Ireland.
ULSTER: TYRONE ALL-IRELAND: KERRY
RONAN SCOTT
First up, I can’t see Down beating Cavan so the Breffni men should make it to the first round against Monaghan. Fermanagh against Tyrone is a mismatch and the Red hands will win. Donegal on the other hand are on the up and will shock the Ulster title holders. Derry v Antrim will see a new look Paddy Crozier side walk past Antrim. Monaghan and Cavan will draw but it doesn’t matter who wins the replay because the Derry renaissance side will make it to the final. Tyrone will beat a Donegal team exhausted from the League. In the final the Red Hands will take Derry for granted and Kevin Mc-Cloy will lift the Anglo Celt.
ULSTER: DERRY ALL-IRELAND: DONEGAL (BACK-DOOR)
MAURICE KENNEDY
Donegal motivated enough and strong enough to beat Armagh who without Ronan Clarke will really struggle for scores. Armagh have really left it very late in the day to blood new players and will pay the price. It’s a very lopsided draw and Derry would have been fancied for the Ulster final with McGuckin and Bradley on board. If not, Monaghan must surely be in with a shout. On paper Tyrone still have a tremendous array of talent and will be too good for a Donegal side that will find it hard to keep the mojo running. Tyrone still lack leaders but if they can sort that they can go all the way. As for Kerry and big Datsun, lighting won’t be striking twice.
ULSTER: TYRONE ALL-IRELAND: TYRONE.
