I read a few years ago that virutually all the land bank around Dublin and its environs was owned by about 6 different groups and they can drip feed it to the marked and keep the price high.
On the flip side.......the GAA clubs have made a killing on selling land to developers and getting fabulous facilities in return

In my part of the world they buy a fine bungalow to knock it down and build from scratch. 2 Million is no problem for some people for a site. Where the F**k does the money come from. No-one seems to have a problem getting planning permission here.

would I get planning in Dublin rashers??? Joan, anytime you're stuck for a place to stay, I'll rezone my sitting room for you! No claw-backs, no questions asked. Pre-match build-up included, and a bookies 5 minutes walk away..........
