oh I am sure he is ready with a come back. A dub would never let us get the better of him In this case Joan, I'm lapping it up! Sitting here in me aul residence in the 'Mun, with a nice glass of Chateau de Mullins (1977 vintage) red (saving the Blue Nun for dinner), looking out at the old flats still standing up the way, now dwarfed by the new hotel, but in front of all is a last tenacious row of old trees from the Santry Demesnes, and on the gogglebox is The Sunday Game, and on here is the rest of the world........and I can safely say, life is good! Roll on the summer ;D

kerrys tourism is fairly well sown up by the killarney crowd, everthing ring of kerry related starts and ends in killarney, they load them onto the busses in the morning and bring them to the town in the evening,The ring of the dingle penninsula is fairly sorted by the dingle crowd, kenmare has pocket of tourism from the ring and access to the bears penninsula, after that its hit and miss.
the money spend by people coming down from dublin and other places to these holiday homes during the year and summer shouldn't be underestimated to the local economy, also you have the revenue spend on construction to the local economy.Anythi g that brings a few bob to places like south kerry shouldnt be sniffed at.

exactly, whats anoys me though is some inhabitants of these holiday homes coming to these areas for a few weeks in the year calling the shots on how things should be run in relation to local developement and infrastructure etc, basically objecting to progress but they forget the local people have to live and make a living in these small areas for the other 50 weeks of the year once they have pointed their bmw's back up the road.

What about all your Kerry developers & the Western Building Mafia having all the sites in Dublin sewn up, and calling the shots on the mad price of (often sub-standard & not eco-firendly) property, not to mention getting every last green area rezoned? For example, the coastal area of Baldoyle estuary, spoiled forever
