Cant see Dromid beating Desmonds away somehow, Castleisland already beat them in the county league, and that was in Dromid..........
Currow V Spa is 50/50 in my eyes, home adv may be enough for Currow....
Gneeveguilla v St. Michael's/Foilmore should be a good game, havent heard anything from Gneeveguilla this year but Ballyfoilmore are flying and will be hard to beat....

St. Michael's/Foilmore Currow Castleisland Desmonds Annascaul Sneem Waterville Listowel Emmets Finuge
Probably Finuge to go all the way, they were unlucky in the past two years. Currow seem to have improved as have St Michaels/Foilmore with the return of James O'Shea, both their games were the toughest to call.

Duagh shock Waterville in Waterville 1-8 to 8pts.
Report from the Waterville website:
After the disappointment of losing to eventual All Ireland Champions Ardfert in last year’s Intermediate Championship after a replay, Waterville were hoping to go one better this year but visitors Duagh, last year’s Junior Champs, shattered that hope and go on to contest the next round of the competition. It was Duagh’s keeper John Halpin who set the tone in the fifth minute when saving from close range from Waterville’s Keith Moran. Eventually, after a number of good chances Alan O’Shea got the scoring started after good industry by Kevin O’Dwyer, Gearóid O’Sullivan and Keith Moran. Duagh’s outstanding Alan O’Brien levelled three minutes later with a wonderful point from forty metres. Waterville, however, were having the better of affairs but failed to capitalise by putting scores on the board. A defensive error midway through the first half allowed Duagh’s Colm Horgan in for what proved to be a valuable goal. This was followed by a Duagh point from the boot of Seán Broderick. Patrick Curran had a point from a free in the eighteenth minute after a foul on himself but again Duagh’s Thomas Dillon kicked a free after a foul on Tom Scanlon. Patrick Curran and Sean Broderick exchanged points and deep into injury time Waterville’s Michael Curran kicked a fine point to leave the half time score Waterville 0-04 ….Duagh 1-04. Duagh looked the more composed team at the break while Waterville were finding it more difficult to play fluid composed football. Patrick Curran reduced his side,s deficit to two points three minutes into the second half after a foul on Alan O’Shea but Duagh’s Tom Dillon added two points almost immediately. Ten minutes into the half Waterville were awarded a close in free but Patrick Curran’s effort was deflected out for a forty five. Waterville did notch up three more points before the final whistle but Duagh’s Brendan O’Brien and Tom Dillon ensured victory and secured Duagh’s passage to the next round of the competition. Team: Bernard Murphy, Kevin O'Dwyer, Seamus O'Shea, Haulie Courtney, Mike Curran (0-01), Gary Galvin, Alan O'Dwyer, Seamus O'Sullivan , Gearoid O'Sullivan , Alan O'Shea (0-01), Denis O'Carroll, Denis Donnelly ( 1 free), Patrick Curran (5 frees), Keith Moran, Fergal Cronin. Subs Used: Danny Walsh, Darren Riordan, John B. O'Shea

a bad weekend in both junior and intermediate for the south kerry clubs, maybe the toll of three co'championship wins in a row is taking its toll.
foilmore/michaels seem to be the form team on the iveragh penninsula, also top of their league, maybe a long over due south kerry championship might be on the way to deelis.

a bad weekend in both junior and intermediate for the south kerry clubs, maybe the toll of three co'championship wins in a row is taking its toll. To other way to look at it is that South kerry will have extra time to prepare for senior co championship, now that all but 1 of their teams have been knocked out of club championships,

What are the chances of Duagh repeating Ardfert's heroics and following a junior title with an intermediate title? They've got a good championship run going now and have certainly got off to a good start with that hard fought win away to Waterville. Bally/Foilmore going very well at the moment. Good win for Beaufort considering they are really struggling in the league at the moment. Mary's seem to be in dire straits at the moment. What's the story there? Dromid also struggling. Probably the most competitive of all the championships with all remaining teams in with a shout. Can't predict a winner from Emmets, Annascaul, Bally/Foilmore or Finuge.
