Though we are not moderated by the County Board, there is a case for being sensible about what we mention on the board. Being as blatant as saying that x player in his mid twenties who is of y profession wants to enjoy his summer is not ideal - you may as well print his name as you are at it - with or without backing up the statement.
Feel free to chat about what's going on, but be careful of how you report trash talk as opposed to hard fact.
For the record, hearing the story from the lad in the corner of the Golden Nugget in Fossa on Saturday night is not concrete evidence, even if he claims to have been up at y players house half an hour earlier.

From an outsiders point of view, and hopefully neutral when it comes to the team selections etc, sometimes I feel you are very tough on the lads. One would think you hadn't won Sam in donkeys years. Kerry have a very good chance of winning it this year again, even if the first 15 all got injured or left!

Point #2: I was under the impression that the original forum was only ever edited for libelous comments. I made my post because hoganstand.com or The Kerryman is not going to have a front page splash if a 'fringe' player (albeit with 2 All-Irelands in his back pocket) quits the scene so some people here would like to know this information even if it is from a potentially unreliable and anonymous source like myself.
If I've crossed a line, fair enough - delete those posts, I will not mind at all as it is your house and we are only, appreciative, guests. . . . and I promise I won't mention a thing about player E and his goat - because that has never been proved :-)

I think players like kelly,guiney,ronan o connor will only stick at it fo so long as members of the panel until the pride of being part of the kerry senior panel wears off them.
There has been two different sort of retirements this year.Number 1 is that of players who may have played too much,as in Seamus and Mike Mac and the Number 2 are the ones who didnt play enough ...or at all.Too much commitment required nowadays when certain players know they wont be gettin a game come the heat of championship.

Not at all Owenabue. The second half of that post was unrelated to the first half. The first half was pointing out that the player who was a member of the old forum was on a hiding to nothing - it's like rock stars and movie stars who don't read the press because there will always be something negative said about them.
The second half was just saying we should continue the discussion about forum content on a new thread.
