Mickmack, one never knows with ye. Yes Pony you'd be right there with Shields. What I was just pointing out was to say a few of your back not being angels was inaccurate. In fact I wouldn't really have picked any of them out as being particularly bad. (well maybe one of them ) Also, I don't think Copper or Donaghy have had any problems standing up for themselves. HMMM now to figure out which back you have a dislike for. Me thinks he could be very near the cork border. Well owen?? as for Gooch and Kieran being able to "stand up" for themselves. i dont really see what the problem with that is. if your most talented players cant do that your kinda screwed.

The back could well be from that part of the world. Indeed the same man is much malined. He is to be credited with trogan work in eliminating a few well known k.....rs from the game. His contribution to cleaning up the game merits a special award!!!!!!!!! I think an international prize and no less is deserved.

Pony, I didn't say there was a problem with them standing up for themselves. I was just saying with the topic being "protecting skiful players" and both of those lads have been doing a good enough job so far protecting themselves.

To put it another way, the issue is not about protecting skilful players, but with the rules. Think about this one, how often are players sent off in the first ten minutes for dangerous tackles or basically acting the langer? Think Ciáran Whelan (sorry Rashers). So basically a player can go out in these present times and give the oppositions star players a right good thump or such like in the first few minutes and know they are unlikely to be sent off. Yet if you pulled a jersey in the second half of the game you could easily end up with a card for it.
