Do yez all know he way we like to take the piss out of the English and want to see them beat at all sports etc... Well we are only beginners at it - I was in wales at the weekend and in a cardif pub I witnessed the welsh beating england and Jasus can they make some noise - You would have thought every fecker in the place had just won the lotto and multiplied it by ten - I've genuinely never heard anything like it - Anyway, I went to the bar later on on saturday night and spoke to this guy wearing a welsh hat and said "Jasus, I only thought we hated the english, youz welsh feckers take it to a whole new level - You guys really do hate them don't ya" - to which the guy replied "well actually I'm english myself" ------------------------------------------------------- ------------------ What the fook are you supposed to say after that - I just cracked up laughing and told the barman to get him a drink and a new hat ! Embarrased or what !! Just thought I'd let you all know that even Tyrone people can be make mistakes.............. Sometimes

God forbid ........... Its unimaginable ............. Sean & Colm Cavanagh, Jordan and Mellon all playing for Armagh ------ We'd still have no AI's and Armagh would have 4 or 5 by now ! Mickmack - Why would you want to put that thought in my head - I'll be having nightmares and cold swets for weeks..... Another horrible thought would be McGuigan playing for Ballinderry Right thats enough of that .... Back to reality

classic dermot,
I cross paths with a welsh rugby fanatic every 6 weeks or so through work and i can tell you that he takes massive personal delight in beating england in the rugby games, its brings a grin from ear to ear on the chap.He also takes no particular delight from the playing of god save auld lizzy at the cardiff arms park.

Priceless Dermot.
It reminds me of the day Ireland played Wales two years ago in the Grand Slam decider. I was in London watching it in a pub in Clapham.....there wasn't an English man in the pub supporting Wales.....

did anyone hear john tosach, wales's soccer manager, last night on tv3 sports line talking about understanding the history of croke park.
he spoke along the lines of croker being a hidden gem unknown to people outside of dublin, then he hesitated, rep of ireland. He obviously never heard of the huge gaelic games following in the north of ireland.
he then spoke about the 5 nations(as apposed to the 6 nations) games having put croker on the map.
is there anything worse than listening to waffle?.

Is Steve Staunton any more up to date than John though?

stan played gaelic football with his club in louth and underage with louth in fairness to him.
kevin doyle, stephen long and shay Given would have strong gaa connections also, you would expect them to understand and know crokers history.
