I too thought Armagh were the better team today and were somewhat unlucky to lose. Oisin's free-taking was brutal and he dropped a couple into goalies hands.
Thought there may have been a pick off the ground prior to Donegal's last minute goal. However Goalie really messed it up. This could be the bit of luck needed by teams to win All Irelands - Donegal may well go on to conquer.
Although they do need to improve big time up front in my opinion.
Armagh will be hard to beat in back door and I agree that Clarke will be a massive boost to their chances.

apart from the wicklow louth replay, armagh v donegal was the only championship game played in the championship yesterday, there seems to be a lack of management here, its hard not to feel that the championships drags on needlessly over the summer at huge exspence to county boards.

All I can take from the Armagh Donegal match, is that Kerry would beat either of them.

Yet to see anything from Kerry this year really. League form was well patchy so too quick to say that we'd beat Donegal or Armagh. Recall how poorly we started last year? Will be interesting to see if Donegal build up a head of steam now.

only for a very lucky goal yesterday we would be saying to day that donegal were over hyped and were not good enough to win sam.

Again, were we good enough to win Sam based on our 1st 4 championship games last year? I think not. we weren't even god enough to win Munster!

I'd go with the draw at 15/2 cos they will probably want to fill Croke Park twice. (Or do the Dubs not show up til the Leinster final?!)

Boss Kernan rebukes fans who turned backs on team in hour of need
Donegal manager Brian McIver is exultant at the end of yesterday's Ulster SFC clash with Armagh in Ballybofey Tools Print Email Search Search Go Related Articles The game at a glance Donegal end hoodoo By Colm Keys Monday May 28 2007
JOE KERNAN has roundly criticised Armagh's 'stay away' supporters who deserted the team in vast numbers yesterday.
Armagh have built up massive support over the last eight years, but some 2,000 tickets out of 8,000 given to the county were sent back to the Ulster Council during the week, prompting a rebuke from Kernan. "I'm disappointed that there wasn't a few more Armagh supporters to cheer them on," he said.
"We sent 2,000 tickets back this week and a lot of our supporters let our team down today.
"I'm disappointed with those people who let those honest players down."
Kernan seemed genuine in his desire to see Donegal go on and win the Ulster title despite the freak nature of their triumph yesterday.
"We're very disappointed, we were caught by a sucker punch. I suppose if any team deserved to beat us it is probably Donegal. I've just been in there wishing them luck. I hope they win the Ulster title.
"But the year is still open for us, we're not gone. We'll regroup after this. I thought we played some good football, we controlled the game for a long, long time.
"We probably missed a few easy scores that we didn't take and we were caught by a mistake. Paul Hearty is not to blame he has saved us more times over the last six or seven years with his club and county. I'm disappointed for Paul, but at the end of the day that's what this game is all about. You make mistakes and you are punished.
"We're out of the Ulster championship but we're not out of the All-Ireland. We proved today that we can play nice stuff and we will be a problem for the other teams in the championship."
Donegal were jubilant, but midfielder Kevin Cassidy said defeat would have posed serious questions for the team. "If Armagh had beaten us today we'd have gone into that dressing-room and said to ourselves 'where do we go from here?' We were lucky to beat them but we beat them, we're into the next round and they are out of the way.
"It's a massive psychological boost. You have to meet teams like Armagh in the championship. We've Tyrone in three weeks time, but we'll have to up our performance 100 per cent because that just wasn't good enough today."
Donegal manager Brian McIver reminded everyone to ignore the quality and feel the width of a result that propels them into an Ulster semi-final with Tyrone.
"It was a typical Ulster championship match. It was no different to what I anticipated it would be.
"I thought after half-time Armagh had a really good spell when they got the goal and a couple of points and we looked in trouble.
"But, fair play to Donegal, they've been digging deep this season whenever the chips have been down. We got the break at the end and after suffering so many defeats to Armagh in the last number of seasons we would have taken any sort of result here today. I'd have taken a deflected 50, it didn't matter how it came."
