Will Brian McGuigan make it back? Tyrone were very impressive in the second half against dublin. Whay young lads are coming through....... the younger cavanagh an mcguigan apart? Brian should be fit enough to play in a month or two - How he plays is yet to be seen - It may take another year to get his form back....Who knows - I hope (more for his own sake) that he gets back to himself quickly and all his own hard work pays off............... He's a real nice fella in person and is a pleasure to watch playing so I hope he can do it. Raymond Mulgrew is a real classy player but is possibly still a bit slight - although he has beefed up a bit since last year. Its really too early to say much about a few of the other young lads....time as always will tell.

Lads, I don't want to sound too cocky but I've got me money on Tyrone doing the double ! We should have our injured players all back and a few other new faces who are as good if not better than many of the last few years' regulars. Also, we don't have the "canavan's just retired" psychological drain this year ------------ Ah, I love the Gaelic ! I Couldn't care less about Ulster - But that doesn't mean that Mickey Harte and the boys don't ................. Armagh are sure to put in a big year but I aint sure if they have what it takes to go all the way, but it certainly won't be for the lack of trying............. I thought last year was their big chance....sorry bigmac ! looks like yere building up for a big year dermot alright. i love the bit of reverse psychology as regards the retirement of yere greatest footballer ever, the one that scored 11 out of 12 points in a losing all-ireland final and had his hand prints all over two winning attempts. i can picture team meetings, all the lads sitting around in a circle on the floor, legs crossed, hands joined and eyes closed, chanting peter never existed, peter never existed,it was all a mirage, peter who, peter who, were all recovered peterholics. Aye right enough ................................. Mind you they could have been doing with him last sat night !

brought down 2 earth with a bit of a bump dermot Nope - Still every bit as confident as I was this time last week ......... Sure who would worry about getting scalped in Cork on a miserable night in Feb. All I need for my best bet is for Engerland to beat France and Ireland to win the championship - Then Tyrone to do the double and I have 48 to 1 (I think) !

Will be great to see McGuigan back, and hopefully all counties will have their best players in action by the end of the League. Dermot, are Tyrone fans looking to win the League? How do you think it will pan out if it's Tyrone against one of their top rivals (in the country)? I'd expect that to be a Championship-like game

Brian McGuigan is targeting the Allianz NFL clash with Kerry on 31 March for his Tyrone comeback after almost a year's absence through injury.
The Red Hand playmaker is hoping to feature in his side's last two NFL Division 1A ties, against both of last year's All-Ireland finalists, firstly the Kingdom, followed by Mayo a week later.
He returned to action with his club last weekend, scoring a point during a 15-minute substitute appearance for Ardboe in an Ulster Senior League tie against Monaghan side Clontibret.
That brief appearance signalled the end of a sporting nightmare lasting almost a year for the former All Star, who suffered a double leg break in a club game against Dromore last April.
'I'm hoping for the last two league games. I know it will be difficult to get up to the pace of the game again. But I’m training away with Tyrone, at full tilt,' he said.
Off the bench with a quarter of an hour to play in an obscure club game in front of a few dozen spectators, this was the moment McGuigan had been longing for.
'I didn't care whether I touched the ball or not. As long as I was out there running about. I just wanted to get involved some some way.
'And when the final whistle went, it was a great feeling to get some kind of a game over me.'

The league as you all know is a hell of a lot more important these days...which can only be a good thing. (still not anywhere near an AI though) And your right mrtierneyesq, Its bloody great to see McGuigan back !

I don't know much about broken legs etc... but do they heal weaker, stronger, the same ? I'd just be afraid of it happening again ! I'll be walking on egg shells just watching him for the next few months !

His main problem I'd say will be that to reach match sharpness both in terms of fitness, and perhaps even more so in terms of football, will take maybe 6 months
