excluding Paul Galvin and the Bomber............who is the last North Kerry player to win an all ireland playing in the forwards............ Is it Eamon o Donoghue RIP in 1970? Does Ogie's eight All Irelands from the forty not count? John Kennedy has two or three as well.

Ogie won 8 on the forty...... how could i forget that. also John Kennedy in 1984 and 1985. presumably he got a medal in 1986 too

I did mention in a post earlier outside of the 4 in a row team.. Which is why I did not mention him. Sure you could not forget Ogie. I did however forget Kennedy.

Johnny bunyan also won an all-ireland in 1975, played full forward in every game but was injured for the AI final. A typical north kerry player like Tim Kennelly, Breen and Liam Flaherty but had the skill to play in the forwards, had to mind the likes of Mike Sheehy and Spillane with his enormous physical presence.

think every kerry team needs north kerry players, anyone from north kerry who has ever played for kerry is as tough as nails, must be sumthing to do with the north kerry championship!who else in the county could play the role Paul Galvin does any where near as effectively??

Piggy is right. Paul galvin is one serious client and the level of fitness and conditioning he has is unreal. He is some atlethe! his ability to cover a lot of ground and make plays as well as realy upsetting the opposition is unreal he realy gets inside their heads. One of the hardest players you could ever mark.

galvin is a huge part of the kerry team, hopefully certain commentators will call his game corectly this summer by not jumping on the perceived bandwagon and remember the lad has to go back to work in september.

a lot of the time he is provoked,we dont want a feckin pussy on the half forward line either trying to win breaking balls like a timid child in a creche trying shyly to grap the odd stray toy that comes his way,now do we.
thats his style of play,so be it,they called it wrong in the commentary box v cork in last years in the semi final. How often have you heard if you take the devil out of a certain player you will lose something, roy keane springs to mind.
