you rate vaughan that highly rashers? KG I suppose it's a sign of the lack of options really. The lad has undoubted talent, and in terms of his suspect temperament, he hasnt been given much chance in the blue & navy to prove or disprove that. He's a very strong player, ball-winner, and can kick long-range points, plenty of confidence in the big occasion - all the sort of things we need. He's been injured for quite a while, and I dont know whether the management have him in their plans. We really could have done with him for the League, a big lad is good for heavy pitches, and we have struggled badly for scores

Ah sure I might ramble in......
If Cork beat Dublin at the weekend the pressure will start to build on Pillar although he has put the poop league form down to "winter football".
He is leading a charmed life with the media

Ah sure I might ramble in...... the poop league form down to "winter football". No pun intended You've lost me there with your cryptic rough animal talk You're right about Pillar, that comment, after that performance, wasnt taken well by the faithful who traipsed the long march to wet & wild Ballyshannon De meedja have let him off because he's a Garda. Mind you, Kerry coaches & star players have always got away with murder - somehow they are never "hyped up" or "torn apart", just seen as being "wise & cute". Maybe something to do with most of the journalists & editors being from Munster Surprised they havent managed to get after Big Josephio or Mickey-Joe Harte yet

Unless you're reading the Examiner Rashers, most of the journalists in the national media come from Dublin, Meath and the West!!

You mean like Billy Keane in the Indo? Paidi in the Sunday Indo? Johnno in the Irish times? Tompkins (adopted Langer) in the Trib? As for Dublin journos/writers, apart from Humphries, who is there?

Then we have the telly - Spillane & Daaaaaaaavis, and the radio, Micheal O'Muircheartaigh. That eejit Des Cahill seems to have "moved on" - dont see or hear many other Dubs though?
