to be honest there is a lot of huffing and puffing about north kerry football but from what ive seen the standard seems pretty piss poor. say 2 north kerry championship matches last year and all that happened was a load grudges being brought onto the football field for no reason.

Listen here smart allick. Ud want to wake up and smell the roses about stacks. Yere not exactly setting the world alight yourselves. The likes of finuge, listowel, duagh, tarbert and beale would give any team in kerry a battle at the moment. As for the north kerry championship its a competition that requires pure heart. But i wouldnt expect ye townies in tralee to know anything about that.

To be fair its been all north kerry teams in the Junior & intermediate finals lately. I think a good Kerry team needs a couple of North Kerry boys in the mix. Remember after the all - ireland last year when Seamus recalled how a few of the North Kerry boys got back to basics back in Cork in a practice match. Gas stuff.

Some great teams to be found there no doubt, i always wonder why the likes of Ballyduff,Tarbert, Duagh etc are not higher up in the divisions?

Tarbert top of division three this year so far. Were in hard luck not to qualify to divison 2 last year many players away during the summer etc . They have been putting in some serious time the last few years and have a great underage program in place also.

think north kerry football is on the up,teams moving up the divisions, winning county championship and wot not!!think the junior champ and the possiblity of playn outside the county has given north kerry clubs to actually train early on in the year!Tarbert are mad to do well in it tis year, twud be savage if they done it,reckon they'd go far in the comp outside kerry!

Paul Galvin current... Eamon Fitz... Piror to that Breen, Flaherty, All in the past 10 years........ Before that well go back to the 4 in a row team. Politics has a lot to do with who from North Kerry gets a run. Couple of years ago the following got called up and due to serious injury could not continue.. McGinley tarbert blew out Knee playing in League with Kerry. Had huge promise. Denis Kiely serious injury to wrist training with the panel.
